Indian scheduled banks are going to have a long holiday month of October because of mega festivals that have lined up. Right from Dussehra and Diwali days to Bhaidooj and Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel's birthday, October is going to be fun. In total there are 21 holidays stored in October for banks.
However, 15 of these holidays are special and related to festivals, while two are second and fourth Saturdays and four Sundays. Hence, in total banks are scheduled to be closed for 18 days.
It needs to be noted that bank holidays vary from city to city. Hence, it is important to check the dates, occasions, and whether the bank is open in your city before carrying out major financial transactions.
