Bank Holiday On Saturday, October 3, 2026?
After Gandhi Jayanti, the next day is a Saturday. Will banks be closed on this day too?
No!
All banks will be functioning as normal on October 3rd, as it is the first Saturday of the month.
As of now, RBI's guidelines state that all scheduled and non-scheduled banks—public, private, foreign, cooperative, regional, rural, and local area banks—will observe a public holiday on the second and fourth Saturdays from September 01, 2015, and will observe full working days on Saturdays other than the second and fourth Saturdays.
Simply put, the first and third Saturdays are working days for banks. If there are five Saturdays in a month, the fifth Saturday is also a working day.
