Banks holidays Next Month December 2023: Banks will remain closed for as many as 18 days in the month of December. These 18 days when banks will remain closed also include normal holidays like Sundays and second and fourth Saturdays. Bank Employees To Go On Nationwide Strikes In December

The All India Bank Employee Association (AIBEA) has announced a series of countrywide strikes starting December 4 to December 11. Banking services across various states in India will remain impacted as both government and private bank employees will go on strike next month.

A notification, issued by the association highlighted that Bank employees will go on a series of nationwide strikes for six days in the month of December, impacting different banks on different dates. AIBEA will hold bank-wise strikes from December 4 to 11 December.

December 4: Punjab National Bank (PNB), Punjab and Sindh Bank, State Bank of India (SBI)
December 5: Bank of Baroda, Bank of India
December 6: Canara Bank, Central Bank of India
December 7: Indian Bank, UCO Bank
December 8: Union Bank of India, Bank of Maharashtra
December 11: All Private Banks

In addition to the bank strikes, bank holidays in December according to the RBI holiday calendar include:

December 1 - Banks to remain closed in Arunachal Pradesh and Nagaland due to the State Inauguration Day.
December 3- Banks will remain closed on account of the first Sunday of the month.
December 4 - Banks will remain closed in Goa due to St. Francis Xavier Festival.
December 9 - Banks will remain closed on account of the Second Saturday of the month.
December 10 - Sunday.
December 12 - Banks will remain closed in Meghalaya on account of Pa-Togan Nengminja Sangma.
December 13- There will be a bank holiday in Sikkim due to Losung/Namsung.
December 14- There will be a holiday for banks in Sikkim due to Losung/Namsung.
December 17- Sunday.
December 18 - There will be a bank holiday in Meghalaya on account of the death anniversary of U Soso Tham.
December 9 - There will be a holiday for banks in Goa due to Liberation Day.
December 23- Fourth Saturday of the month
December 24 - Sunday.
December 25- Christmas.
December 26 - Banks will not open in Mizoram, Nagaland, and Meghalaya.
December 27- Bank holiday in Nagaland due to Christmas.
December 30- Banks will not open in Meghalaya in view of U Kiang Nangbah.
December 31- Sunday.
