The number of bank holidays are more in the month of June because of Maharana Pratap Jayanti and Guru Arjan Dev Ji Shaheedi Diwas.

Bank Holidays For June Month: Banks To Remain Closed for 12 days

On bank holidays, all the branches public sectors, private sector, cooperative banks, and foreign banks will remain closed. The bank holidays fall into three categories namely Holiday under Negotiable Instrument Act, Real Time Gross Settlement Holiday, and Holiday Under Negotiable, and Banks Closing of Accounts.

The maximum number of holidays fall under the category of "Holiday under Negotiable Instruments Act." Meanwhile, there is only one holiday under the category of "Banks Closing of Accounts" that takes place on April 1. This day a large number of banks all across India remain shut.

Two holidays fall under the category of "Holidays Under Negotiable Instruments Act" and the remaining six holidays are leave. The list also includes second Saturday, fourth Saturday, and Sundays.

June 3: Guru Arjan Dev Ji Shaheedi Diwas
June 5: Sunday
June 11: Second Saturday
June 12: Sunday
June 14: Sant Guru Kabir Jayanti (Banks will be shut in Odisha, Himachal Pradesh, Chandigarh, Haryana, and Punjab.
June 15: Raja Sakranti, Guru Hargobind Ji's birthday (Banks will remain shut in Odisha, Mizoram, and Jammu & Kashmir,
June 19: Sunday
June 20:Kharchi Puja (Banks will remain closed only in Odisha)
June 25: Fourth Saturday
June 26: Sunday
June 30: Remna Ni
