Bank Holidays In December 2021: Check Full List Here

The month of December is going to be crowded with spectacular celebrations such as Christmas and New Year's Eve, thus native Indians must have organized their vacations appropriately. Planning a holiday with your loved ones during the festive season is one of Indians' preferred leisure pursuits, but they should be aware of bank holidays, which might turn their memorable time into a headache due to certain urgent banking activities that may arise on the way to their festive journey.

And we must remind you that, according to the Reserve Bank of India's (RBI) schedule of holidays for the year 2021, all public and private banks would be shut for 12 days in December. Apart from Sundays and second and fourth Saturdays, a maximum of seven holidays have been confirmed for the upcoming month. Bank holidays are classified as Holiday Under Negotiable Instruments Act, Holiday Under Negotiable Instruments Act and Real-Time Gross Settlement Holiday, and Banks' Closing of Accounts by the Reserve Bank of India (RBI). Bank Holidays In December 2021

3rd December 2021- Due to the festival Feast of St. Francis Xavier Panaji, all Indian banks will be closed on this day in Panaji.

18th December 2021- Indian banks in Shillong would be closed due to the Death Anniversary of U SoSo Tham.

24th December 2021- In Aizawl and Shillong, all Indian banks will be closed due to the Christmas Festival (Christmas Eve).

25th December 2021- Due to Christmas, all Indian banks will be closed in Agartala, Ahmedabad, Aizawl, Belapur, Bhopal, Chandigarh, Chennai, Dehradun, Gangtok, Guwahati, Hyderabad, Imphal, Jaipur, Jammu, Kanpur, Kochi, Kolkata, Lucknow, Mumbai, Nagpur, New Delhi, Panaji, Patna, Raipur, Ranchi, Shillong, Shimla, Srinagar and Thiruvananthapuram.

27th December 2021- Owing to Christmas Celebration, all Indian banks will remain closed in Aizawl.

30th December 2021- All Indian banks in Shillong would be closed owing to U Kiang Nangbah.

31st December 2021- Due to New Year's Eve, all Indian banks in Aizawl would be shut.
