Bank Holidays India In June 2024: Banks To Remain Closed On These Days

Banks in different states of India will remain closed in June for few days as the month will witness several scheduled bank holidays as a result of various religious holidays and regional celebrations.

Leading private and national banks all across India will have holidays in June 2024 due to regional celebrations.

Banks also remain closed on 2nd and 4th Saturdays along with all Sundays. June month will have 5 Sundays.

Bank branches in India remain closed on every second, fourth Saturdays and all the Sundays. Banks also remain shut when there is a public holiday. There are some holidays that are observed nationally while some states observe specific occasions on the basis of local traditions that they follow.

Banks remain closed on national and religious holidays that may include Republic Day, Holi, Buddha Purnima, Independence Day, Gandhi Jayanti, Christmas Diwali, Dussehra, Eid, Ganesh Chaturthi.

June 15, 2024: Raja Sankranti (Orissa)

June 17, 2024: Bakrid/Eid al-Adha (national holiday barring few states)

June 21, 2024: Vat Savitri Vrat (many states)

June 22, 2024: Sant Guru Kabir Jayanti (to be observed in Chhattisgarh, Himachal Pradesh, Haryana, and Punjab)
