Bank activity will remain shut on February 23 and 24, 2022 as there shall be observed a nationwide strike by bank unions. The strike shall be to protest the privatisation spree in the PSBs.
Bank Strike On February 23 and 24, 2022: Services At Public Sector Banks Will Be Impacted
Previously also public sector banks observed strike on December 16 and December 17 for protesting against the privatisation bill. And on account of the same services at State Bank of India, Punjab National Bank, Central Bank of India and Bank of Baroda were impacted and consequently disrupted. Bank strike impacts services including cheque clearance, fund transfer, debit card related services etc. Likewise, similar impact shall be seen on banking services on Wednesday and Thursday.
Reportedly, Central Trade Unions and other bank unions have decided to observe bank strike. For the strike, several employees from the nationalised banks of NCR and nationwide will participate in large strength.
