Banks Closed Today And Tomorrow In These Cities: Check Full List
According to the Reserve Bank of India (RBI) holiday calendar, banks will be closed in most parts of the country today (13 May) and tomorrow (14 May) for Id-Ul-Fitr.
According to the guidelines, all banks in the country, including public, private, international, cooperative, and regional banks, will be closed on certain days as determined by the central bank. It should also be noted that banking holidays are dependent on state-specific festivals and can differ from one state to the other.
On the second and fourth Saturdays of each month, all private and public banks in the country are closed. According to a notification released by the Reserve Bank of India, banks are also closed on Sundays.
It is also advised to check the bank holiday list on a regular basis for any new updates and to compare it to the Reserve Bank of India's official website holiday list.
On 13 May- (Id-Ul-Fitr)
Banks in Belapur, Jammu, Kochi, Mumbai, Nagpur, Srinagar, and Thiruvananthapuram will be closed.
On 14 May- Bhagvan Shree Parshuram Jayanti, Ramjan-Eid, Basava Jayanti, Akshaya Tritiya
Banks in Agartala, Ahmedabad, Aizawl, Bengaluru, Bhopal, Bhubaneswar, Chandigarh, Chennai, Dehradun, Gangtok, Guwahati, Hyderabad, Imphal, Jaipur, Jammu, Kanpur, Kolkata, Licknow, New Delhi, Panaji, Patna, Raipur, Ranchi, Shillong, Shimla will remain locked.
Due to Ramadan, trading on Indian indices (both BSE and NSE) will be suspended today. Trading in equity, equity derivatives, and the SLB Segment will be closed today, according to the BSE's official website.
