Banks To Be Closed On Wednesday For Ram Navami
On the occasion of Ram Navami on Wednesday, April 21, most banks across the country will be closed. Every year, the Reserve Bank of India (RBI) publishes a holiday calendar that specifies when all banks in India will be closed.
The decision to designate such days as holidays was made after taking into account three categories: Holiday under the Negotiable Instruments Act, Holiday under the Negotiable Instruments Act and Real-Time Gross Settlement Holiday, and Banks' Closing of Accounts.
It is important to note that the banking holidays are dependent on the festivals in the respective region and which vary from state to state.
The holiday will be observed in the following states:
West of Bengal
Assam
Goa
Jammu and Kashmir
Karnataka
Kerala
Lakshadweep
Manipur
Meghalaya
Nagaland
Arunachal Pradesh.
24 April - Fourth Saturday
25 April - Sunday
