Banks To Remain Closed For 2 Days In The Current Week, Details Inside

Customers should be aware that banks around the country will be closed for two days in the last week of May 2021. On Sunday, May 23, 2021, there is a bank holiday, and on May 26, there is another upcoming bank holiday owing to Buddha Purnima. Whereas banks will be closed on May 30 due to the fact that it is a Sunday. Both private and public sector banks throughout the country remain closed on the second and fourth Saturdays of each month, according to RBI guidelines. On Sundays, the banks are also closed. As a result, banks were closed on May 23. (Sunday). Banks will also remain closed on Sunday, May 30. This brings the cumulative number of days that banks will be closed to three in the current and last week of May.

May 26, 2021: Buddha Purnima (Bank branches in Andaman and Nicobar, Arunachal Pradesh, Chandigarh, Chhattisgarh, Delhi, Haryana, Himachal Pradesh, Jammu and Kashmir, Jharkhand, Ladakh, Madhya Pradesh, Maharashtra, Sikkim, Tripura, Uttar Pradesh, Uttarakhand, and West Bengal will be closed on May 26 due to this festival).

 

May 30, 2021: Weekly off (Sunday)
