BCL Industries Declares Q3 Results, Share Price Jumps Over 210% In 5 Yrs; Check Details Here

One of the major manufacturers of agro-processing products in India, BCL Industries Limited, released its financial results for the quarter that ended in December 2024. BCL Industries' net profit fell 37.30% to Rs 19.20 crore in the December 2024 quarter from Rs 30.62 crore in the December 2023 quarter. Compared to Q3FY24, when sales were Rs 622.19 crore, sales in Q3FY25 climbed 18.20% to Rs 735.43 crore. Recently, M/s. Svaksha Distillery Limited, a BCL Industries subsidiary, was granted permission to build an oil extraction facility and a 75 KLPD bio-diesel plant at its Kharagpur site, with an estimated project cost of Rs 150 Cr.

The company also recently announced that it has been granted environmental clearance (EC) to build a second 150 KLPD ethanol production facility at its Bathinda distillery. Construction will start in the coming months. Additionally, the Bathinda distillery's 75 KLPD Bio-Diesel facility is now under construction, BCL Industries confirmed.

Rajasthan State Ganganagar Sugar Mills submitted a letter of approval to BCL Industries last month for the supply of 60 lakh litres of extra-neutral alcohol (ENA). The company expects its 700 KLPD distillery to run at full capacity and make around Rs1,750 crores in revenue in FY 24-25. The firm intends to commission a 75 KLPD biodiesel factory within a year and phase down its edible oil operations in FY 24-25.

For the quarter that concluded in September 2024, the firm declared a consolidated net profit of Rs 30 Cr, which was 50% more than the Rs 20 Cr for the same time the previous year. In Q2FY25, its operational income increased by 55%, from Rs 481 Cr in Q2FY24 to Rs 746 Cr. While the company's EBITDA increased 16% year over year to Rs 57 Cr in Q2FY25 from Rs 49 Cr in Q2FY24, its EBITDA margin dropped 200 basis points to 8% from 10% in Q2FY24.
