Bengaluru Man Shares Weird WhatsApp Chat With Scammer: ‘Paisa hai, pyaar chahiye’

We all have at one time or other seen scammers' messages on our WhatsApp. However, recently a Bengalurean shared a hilarious conversation with a fraudster on X (formerly Twitter) after he was contacted by a scamster on WhatsApp. The chat has gone viral and is widely circulating on social media platforms. The Bengaluru man's conversation with WhatsApp scammer has left many in splits.

These scammers who we mostly come across on WhatsApp mostly lure common people by offering job opportunities or money in exchange for completing simple tasks like leaving a product review. However, this time this trick of scammers didn't work as Bengaluru-based WhatsApp user was smart enough to understand their ploy.

Scammer

Chetty Arun's conversation with a scammer tells us on how to waste a swindler's time. Chetty, who happens to be the culture head at Razorpay, shared screenshots of his conversation with a scammer posing as "Miss Lavanya" - the Assistant HR at Halcyon India.

Initially, in their WhatsApp conversation, the scammer told Chetty he could earn money by rating places on Google Maps. Chetty ignored the job offer and waylaid the scammer by saying, "Hi Lavanya, that's a beautiful name. What does it mean?"

The scammer, posing as Lavayana, tried to continue the conversation about the "reward package" in order to ignite Chetty's interest in the job offer, but in vain as the Razorpay employee responded by saying he had enough money, but not enough love.

"Arey paisa bohot hai Lavayna. Pyaar chahiye. Pyaar ke liye kuch program hai toh batao," he wrote.
To this, the presumably fed-up scammer replied, "There is no program for love please."

"So, this is common. I too received such requests on WhatsApp. I just blocked. Aise Paise aur Pyarr dono se darna chahiye (One should be cautious of both money and love) :P." said another user.
