Bengaluru Power Cut Alert: Full List of Areas Facing Electricity Outages Bangalore from June 21-22

Residents in Bengaluru experienced a power outage today which will continue till Sunday, June 22, as the Bangalore Electricity Supply Company (BESCOM) has announced scheduled power cuts across several areas. This Bengaluru power cut is a part of essential infrastructure upgrades and maintenance work undertaken by the Karnataka Power Transmission Corporation Limited (KPTCL).

Why Is There a Power Cut in Bengaluru This Week?

The KPTCL maintenance schedule includes periodic upgrades, preventive maintenance, and system improvement measures across different zones under BESCOM's jurisdiction. The Bangalore power cut will affect both urban and semi-urban zones, including residential neighbourhoods, commercial areas, and industrial belts. BESCOM officials stated that the work is necessary to avoid unplanned outages in the future.

Areas Affected by Power Cut from 10 AM to 5 PM On June 21, Saturday

On Saturday, June 21, power supply will be cut from 10:00 AM to 5:00 PM in parts of Peenya Industrial Area, Rajagopala Nagar, and several nearby localities. Affected zones include HMT Main Road, CMTI, Boralingappa Garden, GKW Layout, Bank Colony, Vignan Public School, RNS Apartment, and ESI Hospital. Additional areas like Akash Theatre Road, Kasthuri Road, Friends Circle, and Malayali Guest House Road will also experience outages as per the Economic Times report.

Several outer Bangalore areas like Tharabanahalli, Hesaraghatta, Chikkabanavara, Dasenahalli, and Soladevanahalli are also on the list of affected regions. Bannerghatta Road, BTM Layout, and Electronic City will continue to face cuts as per previous schedules.
Additionally, an outage will also be seen from 10 AM to 4 PM on Saturday, June 21. Power will also be suspended in zones such as KSIT College, Amruth Nagar, Devarachikkanahalli, Akshayanagar, and Tejaswini Nagar. These areas are largely residential, and residents have been advised to complete essential tasks requiring electricity ahead of the disruption.

Areas Undergoing Power Outage from 10 AM to 5 PM On June 22, Sunday

On Sunday, June 22, Electronic City Phase-1 will experience a full-day outage. Key areas impacted include Doddathoguru, Bommanahalli, NJR Layout, Chikkathoguru, Konappana Agrahara, and Hongasandra. These areas are part of Bangalore's IT hub, and commercial establishments and tech companies operating here are advised to keep backup power systems ready.

Continuous Power Cuts Across Some Areas

In addition to the above, BESCOM has listed Anekal and Attibele zones for continuous power shutdown from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM on all three days, June 20, 21, and 22. Areas affected include Anekal, Samandur, Yadavanahalli, Attibele Town, VBHC Apartment, Indlabele, Hompalagatta, Balagaranahalli, Gowrenahalli, Chikkahagade, Doddahagade, Harohalli, and Haldenahalli. These regions also include surrounding villages which may experience longer-than-expected restoration times.

BESCOM has requested residents to stay informed by regularly checking their official website and social media pages for real-time updates. Citizens are advised to:

• Charge mobile phones, laptops, and inverters in advance.
• Keep emergency lighting devices or UPS systems ready.
• Finish important chores or office tasks early in the day.
• Report long or unscheduled outages via the BESCOM helpline or mobile app.
• Officials also noted that electricity will be restored immediately after daily maintenance is completed.
