People residing in the BESCOM area will experience a scheduled power outage today on October 26, as the Bangalore Electricity Supply Company Limited (BESCOM) has announced maintenance and underground cable (UG) laying work in several parts of the city and nearby districts. The BESCOM power cut will affect both Bengaluru Urban and Hosadurga taluk areas for several hours on Sunday.

BESCOM Power Outage Timings on October 26th

According to the official BESCOM notice, power supply will be disrupted from 10:00 AM to 5:00 PM in Bengaluru and from 10:00 AM to 6:00 PM in Hosadurga areas. The outage is necessary to carry out upgradation and maintenance work at the 66/11 kV substation and to complete underground power cable installations in certain regions.

Bengaluru Areas Affected by BESCOM Power Cut

Several key localities in Bengaluru will face electricity interruptions during the day. The affected areas with Bengaluru power cut include:

BEML Layout, Vijayanagar, Chikkalasandra, Marenahalli, Girinagar, Banashankari 3rd Stage, Hosakerehalli, Muneshwara Block, Agrahara Dasarahalli, Magadi Road, Shankarapuram and other surrounding areas.

BESCOM officials have urged residents to make necessary arrangements and plan their work in advance to avoid inconvenience during the outage period.

Hosadurga Power Outage Details

According to BESCOM notice in Hosadurga taluk, power supply will remain suspended from 10:00 AM to 6:00 PM due to ongoing underground cable laying work. The following areas will be impacted:

Siddaramanagar, Raghavendra Layout, Shivalingappa Layout Siddeshwara Layout, Industrial Area, Kanaka Layout, Kanguvalli and nearby villages, Yalakappanahatti, Shivanekatte, Nagenahalli, Chinnapura village

BESCOM has assured that electricity will be restored once the maintenance and cable-laying work are completed safely.
