Bengaluru Power Cut On August 23 & August 24: 7-Hours Long Power Outages In 70+ Locations: Affected Areas List

The Bangalore Electricity Supply Company Limited (BESCOM) will carry at least 7-hours-long power outages in more than 70 areas in the city on August 23 and August 24. The outages are due to scheduled maintenance work, however, the timing of electricity disruption will vary from location to location.

BESCOM is responsible for Power distribution in Eight districts of Karnataka (Bangalore Urban, Bangalore Rural, Chikkaballapura, Kolar, Davanagere, Tumkur, Chitradurga and Ramanagara). BESCOM covers an area of 41,092 Sq. Kms. with a population of over 207 lakhs.

BESCOM has notified that emergency maintenance work will be held by the KPTCL of R.M.V substation. Due to which there will be electricity disruption in the areas around C6 Sub-Division of Malleswaram Division from 10:00 AM to 05:00 PM on August 23. The emergency work will continue on August 24 as well. However, timings will vary and more than 70 areas could face power disruption.

Bengaluru Power Cut: Affected Areas On August 23

From 10 am to 5 pm, areas like Ramaiah Hospital, Pipeline Road, MSR Nagar, BEL Road, CPRI Quartz, Sadashivanagar Police Station, AGS Layout, BEL Road, MSR Nagar, Jaladarshini Layout, MSR Nagar, Pipeline Road, Ramaiah Boys Hostel, A.K. Colony, Sriniketh Apartment, Coffee Day, Pizza Hut Opposite Ramaiah Hospital, Narayana Prasad Building, Seenappa Layout, BEL Road, ISRO, Dollars Colony, BEL Road, Chikkamaranahalli, and Gauri Apartment could face power disruption.

However, from 11 am to 4 pm on Sunday, power supply would be cut in areas like Poram Mall, Freestage Palcon City Apartments, Doddakallasandra, Kanakapura Main Road, Narayana Nagar 3rd Block, Muni Reddy Layout, Kumaran's School, Jothi Layout, Gangapatipura, Supraja Nagar, JSS School and surrounding areas, Konanakunte Government School, Jaraganahalli Park, Gangadhareshwara Temple, Basavaraju Layout, Shanti Shamil, Rajiv Gandhi Road, Sarakki Lake, Sarakki Signal, Nagarjuna Premier Apartments, Chunchagatta Village, Srinidhi Layout and surrounding areas. Mantri Apartments, Talaghattapura, Raghuvanahalli, Gubbalal, Kuvempunagar, V.V. Nagar, V.V. Layout, Balaji Layout, and Royal Farm. Areas surrounding it could also be impacted.

Bengaluru Power Cut: Affected Areas On August 24

On Monday, areas surrounding LRP Office, Jayakumar RMU, Divya Shanti, Govindpur, Karle, Brindavan Nagar, Titan Garage, Gandhinagar, Bhairavi Apartments, Heggade Nagar, Chandrika Soap Factory, and BMTC Depot could be impacted. However, in these regions, power cut is expected from 11 am to 3 pm.
