Bengaluru Power Cut On August 16 To August 18: 70+ Areas May Face Power Outages; Is Your Locality In List?

The Bangalore Electricity Supply Company (BESCOM) has declared a 7-hour-long power outages in over 70 areas on Sunday, August 16, 2026, due to maintenance work in feeder lines. Another report stated that Bengaluru residents under the HBR Layout, SRS/Peenya, and Widia substations may face electricity interruptions due to emergency work carried out by KPTCL. The Namma Ward report stated that intermittent interruptions to electricity could continue through August 18. That being said, Bengaluru citizens could face multiple disruptions to electricity supply.

Bengaluru Power Cut On August 16:

As per Native Planet report, power outages are likely between 11:00 AM - 5:00 PM in RR Nagar division, while scheduled electricity work is being carried between 10:00 AM - 4:00 PM in Chikkabanavara division.

Bengaluru Power Cut: Affected Areas From 10:00 AM To 5 PM:

Under RR Nagar, the impacted localities include BEML layout and Kengeri Town. Under Chikkabanavara, the impacted areas are Peenya and Hesaraghatta Road.

The intermittent interruptions mean that electricity will stop for short term and then start again and will repeat this several times in the day.
