Bengaluru Power Cut On December 16, 17, 18, 19: BESCOM Declares 12-Hours Power Outages: Affected Areas List

The Bangalore Electricity Distribution Company ( BESCOM ) has declared maintenance work on power plants and substations in Bengaluru city on December 16, which will be carried out on a rotational basis from 10 am to 6 pm. However, due to the work, many areas will not receive an adequate electricity supply. Further, BESCOM announced that there will be power disruptions in Byadarahalli and surrounding areas from December 14th to December 19th, which could lead to a whopping 12-hour-long power outage.

Bengaluru Power Cut:

The power supply will be disrupted in Bengaluru on December 16 due to maintenance work on power plants and substations.

BESCOM Power Cut:

Another work will be carried out in Byadarahalli and surrounding areas from 10 am to 10 pm from December 14 to December 19 to increase the capacity of the transformer at the Byadarahalli power disruption center.

Notably, Bescom is already carrying out the remaining work of shifting 11KV and secondary power lines, transformers and electric poles that obstruct footpath development on both sides of the Bengaluru Double Road from December 10 to December 20.

Due to this, power supply from the 11KV sub-station feeding the F-10 Prabhakar Layout and F-22 KEB quarters feeders will be disrupted.

Affected Areas:

Areas including Bengaluru Road, Kanampalli, Prabhakar Layout, Gundappa Layout, Anjani Layout, Ashraya Layout, Kempama Layout, Venkatagirikote, Filter Bed Circle, Royal Circle, Bagepalli Circle, Tank Blund Road, Teachers Colony and Timmasandra will face power outages from 10 am to 6 pm.
