Bengaluru Power Cut On December 18: BESCOM Carries 7-Hour Long Power Outage: Check Affected Areas List

The Bangalore Electricity Supply Company Limited (BESCOM) is carrying a 7-hour-long power outage in areas of Bengaluru and other villages on December 18. This is due to various maintenance work carried by BESCOM and KPTCL. Bescom has asked residents to co-operate and take precautionary measures amidst electricity disruption.

BESCOM Power Cut On December 18:

BESCOM declared maintenance work in key power stations that could disrupt the flow of electricity in various villages. The work has commenced from 10 am onward and will likely end on 5 pm on December 18.

Affected Areas:

Power outages is likely to be in Maganahalli, Maganahalli Camp, Obajjihalli, Obajjihalli Camp, Kadlebalu, Halekadlebalu, Malgondanahalli, Arasapur, Badunayakanathanda, Chikkaobbihalli, Doddaobajjihalli and surrounding villages.

Bengaluru Power Cut On December 18:

BESCOM also revealed that KPTCL is carrying out emergency maintenance work in its substation Koramangala on December 18. The work has already begun from 10 am and is scheduled to end at 5 pm.

Affected Areas:

Areas surrounding Koramangala substation will be heavily impacted due to the 7-hours-long power outage. These are ---

- Koramangala

- NGV Precinct

- Kapila Block

- Koramangala 4th, 5th, 6th and 8th blocks

- Jakkasandra Extension 1st Block

- Rajendranagar

- Dr Ambedkar Nagar

- Koramangala village.

Apart from the maintenance work announced, BESCOM has kept its 66/11KV RBI MUSS F3 Feeder VL for burnt out which has led to power outage to various areas in Bengaluru. Residents have filed complaints regarding zero electricity in their regions to BESCOM through X.

A user said through X, "Arekere gate Mantri Paradise supply fails each day multiple times. It's a shame! It's bad for appliances! No power from last night 11 PM. Why no action? Why cannot we have zero power cut? Even Kolkata, is much better now!."

While another resident said, "No power supply . near padmavati temple. Heggadadevanapura alur post Bangalore. 562123."

BESCOM has replied to these residents and many others saying, as s of now there is an interruption 66/11KV RBI MUSS F3 Feeder VL kept open for HT AB Cable Burnt out. Power supply will be restored soon.
