Bengaluru Power Cut On December 24: BESCOM Declares 7-Hours Power Outage: Check Affected Areas

The Bangalore Electricity Supply Company Limited (BESCOM) is going to carry a scheduled power outage for at least seven continuous hours on December 24, due to maintenance work. This will disrupt electricity supply in many regions.

Bengaluru Power Cut On December 24:

In its notification, BESCOM announced that they are facilitating quarterly maintenance work in various power stations including 66/11 KV Vijayanagara Station. The schedule for their planned work is from 10 am to 5 pm on Wednesday.

Meanwhile, work will be carried in areas like Padmanabhanagar, Subramanyapura, and ISRO Layout stations. This work will begin from 10 am to 4 pm on December 24.

Accordingly, BESCOM said that the work is a routine checkup to ensure safe and smooth power transition while improving their service quality.

Hence, BESCOM asked citizens to prepare in advance and cooperate with the process.

Affected Areas: 10 am to 5 pm

Under the Vijayanagara Station, areas that could be impacted are Vinayaka Layout, Kaveripura, Ranganathapura, Syndicate Bank Colony, Nagarabhavi, Siddaiah Puranik Road, KHB Colony, Magadi Main Road, HVR Layout, Agrahara Dasarahalli, Basaveshwaranagara, Vijayanagara, Govinda Rajanagara, Kamakshipalya, RPC Layout, Binny Layout, Prashanthnagara, MC Layout, Marenahalli, Hosahalli, Thimmenahalli and surrounding areas.

Affected Areas: 10 am to 4 pm

Additionally, electricity would be scare to nil in regions like Manjunatha Colony, BMTC Depot, Rajiv Nagar, Syndicate Bank Colony, Padmanabhanagar, Raghavendra Layout, 18th Main Telephone Exchange, Kidney Foundation area, Maharaja Hospital zone, Laxmikantha Choultry, Uttarahalli Road, ISRO Layout Industrial Area, Gubbala, Part of Uttarahalli, Kadernahalli, Yarab Nagar, Monotype, Teachers Colony, Kaveri Nagar, Dr Ambedkar Nagar, MM Industrial Area, Indo-American area, Chikalsandra, TT Layout, TG Layout, Bhuvaneshwarinagar, Banagiri Nagar, Pappaiah Garden, Balaji Choultry area, Siddamma and Siddaiah Reddy area, S9 sub-division, Division Office area, 30th Main and 30th Cross, BNM College surroundings, BDA Complex, Devagiri Temple area, BSNL Office zone, BSK 2nd Stage, SLV Hotel stretch, Sudhara Hotel area, Chennammanakere Achukattu and surrounding areas.
