Bengaluru Power Cut On December 27 & December 28: Up to 8-Hour Power Outages In Many Areas: Big BESCOM Update

The Bangalore Electricity Distribution Company (BESCOM) has declared between 7 hours to 8 hours of scheduled power outages between December 27 and December 28. On Saturday, BESCOM will carry out at least 7 hours of maintenance work, and that will disrupt electricity supply in several areas of Karnataka, especially in Bengaluru. Meanwhile, the power distributor is looking to carry out an 8-hour-long power outage on Sunday, December 28.

As per BESCOM's new update, KPTCL will carry maintenance work from 10 am to 5 pm on December 27. The work will be held on 220/66/11 kV SRS Peenya substation.

Grihalakshmi Apartment, SM Road, Jalahalli Cross, Chokkasandra, Maruti Layout, Kempaiah Layout, GG Palya, ISRO, Narayanpur, NTTF Circle, Ganapathinagar Main Road, Police Station Road, Chamundipur, Rajeshwari Nagar, Akash Theatre Road, Peenya Village, SRS Road, 4th Block, 2nd Block, MEI Factory, Rajagopala Nagar and surrounding areas.

Other areas such as GKW Layout, Bairaveshwar Nagar, Peenya Industrial Area Phase 1, 3rd Cross, 4th Cross, Slum Road, Anu Solar Road, Chair Factory Road, General Metal Circle, General Metal Road, Sunrise Casting Road, Vaishnavi Mall and surrounding areas will also likely face disruption.

Furthermore, there will be power disruption on December 28th from 10 am to 5 pm in areas surrounding BESCOM's 66/11 KV Byadarahalli and 66/11 KV Srigandhakal station for quarterly maintenance work.

Areas such as Mahadeshwaranagar, Prasanna Layout, Hoshalli, Kempegowdanagar, Gollarahalli, Nedakerappa Industrial Area, Herohalli, Thunganagara, Vigneshwaranagara, Annapoorneshwarinagara, Anjananagara, Sunkadakatte, Neelagiritopu, Hegganahalli and surrounding places could face power outage.

Affected Areas: 66/11 KV Srigandhakaval

NGEF Layout, Balaji Layout, MPM Layout, Sir MV 9th Block, Mallathahalli, Kengunte, Ullal Main Road, Lakshmi Hospital Channigappa Industrial Area, Kavitha Hospital, Okkaligara Sangha Hostel, Annapoorneshwarinagara, Orchid School, Kottigepalya, Sumanahalli, Sunkadakatte Main Road, Hoysalanagara, Mohan Theatre, Shiva Farm, Maruthinagara and surrounding areas.

Additionally, KPTCL will also undertake work at the Soladevanahalli substation from 10 am to 6 pm on Sunday. This will lead to 8-hours long power outage.

Tarabanahalli, Hurulichikkanahalli, TB Cross, Hesarghatta, Dwarakanagar, Chikkabanavara, Maruti Nagar, Ganapathi Nagar, Shantinagar, Brothers Colony, Krishna College Road, Raghavendra Layout, Sasuveghatta, Bajjappa Layout, Shivakumaraswamiji Layout, Guddadahalli, Dasenahalli, Thotagere Basavanna Temple, Hosahalli Palya, KMF Animal Husbandry and surrounding areas.
