Continuing on its maintenance work, the Bangalore Electricity Supply Company (BESCOM) has declared a 2-hour-long power outage on September 9 in many regions of Bengaluru city. The electricity will be disrupted from 10:00 AM to 12:00 noon. Areas around Banaswadi are expected to be impacted heavily.
Bengaluru Power Cut On September 9:
BESCOM will carry out maintenance work from 10 AM to 12 noon on September 9, at Banaswadi 66/11 KV sub-station. The reason behind the emergency work is to ensure a smooth transition of electricity supply and tackle sudden breakdowns in situations like heavy rains.

Further, localities like Gedalahalli, Kothanur, Vaddarapalya Janakirama Layout, BDS Garden Satya Enclave, Prakruthi Layout, Hoysalanagar Brindavan Layout, Vinayaka Layout, Vivekananda Layout, Manjunath Nagar Road, Yasin Nagar, NRI Layout, Punyabhumi Layout, Samad Layout, Kullappa Circle, Rajkumar Park, Sangolli Rayanna Road, Ramamurthy Nagar Main Road, Krishnareddy Layout -- are also in the list to be impacted by the latest power cut.

BESCOM Power Cut Advisory:
The electricity company has advised citizens to keep their electronic devices, such as mobile phones, laptops, and other electronics, charged in advance.
It is directed to take necessary precautions in case of home appliances.
Also, BESCOM suggested to store sufficient water if dependent on electric pumps.
