Bengaluru Power Cut On Sunday & Monday: Nearly 7-Hour Power Outages By BESCOM On July 19 & July 20; Areas List

The Bangalore Electricity Supply Company Limited (BESCOM) has declared power outages of up to six-and-a-half hours long in several areas on Sunday, July 19, due to maintenance work that will be carried out by the Karnataka Power Transmission Corporation Limited (KPTCL). Affected areas include MG Road and HAL to Peenya Division. East and central divisions in the city are likely to be most impacted on Sunday. Apart from this, many other places will face power disruption on Monday, July 20, 2026, due to maintenance work at the 66/11 KV Wellcast Sub-Station.

According to Native Planet report, the primary shutdown window falls between 10:00 and 16:30 for major sectors. Areas like HAL, Old Airport Road, and Domlur will see prolonged blackouts. These works target substation upgrades and essential feeder maintenance. Planning your morning activities early will help avoid mid-day disruptions. Bengaluru Power Cut: Affected Areas

Power cut will be between 10 am to 16.30 pm in central commercial districts and residential hubs. Areas like MG Road, Kodihalli, Thippasandra, Domlur 2nd Stage and several HAL phases will reportedly witness power disruption.

Also, in west Bengaluru, the Peenya Division is likely to see power outage between 10 am to 2 pm on Sunday. Hence, industrial places in this division could be impacted.

While maintenance usually ends on time, some delays may occur occasionally. Residents should keep their water pumps running before 10:00 to store supplies. If power does not return by sunset, escalate the issue immediately. Staying informed helps minimize the impact of these vital infrastructure improvements. KPTCL will again carry a maintenance work at the 66/11 KV Wellcast Sub-Station from 10 am to 2 pm. Additionally, maintenance work will be held at the 66/11 KV Batarayanapura Sub-Station from 11 am to 4pm.

Due to work at 66/11 KV Wellcast Sub-Station, areas that could be impacted are --- Ravindra Nagar, Prasannath Nagar, Santosh Nagar, Airforce Jalahalli West, Vaishnavi Nakshatra Apartments, KSRTC Bus Stand, Gati Road, Triveni, HHV, DMG, Krishna Fabrications, Gemini Industries, Ravi-Karloskar Hospital, John Crane, MSIL Printing Press, S. Ramesh Road, Wipro Wellcast Factory, ITC, Volvo, Avery Dennison, Hitachi Industries, Geetha Timber. Also, areas surrounding it will reportedly be impacted.

Further, because of work at 66/11 KV Batarayanapura Sub-Station, areas that could be impacted are I&Khi Apartment, Yashodhanagar, Jakkur Plantation, I&Khi Apartment, Century Apartment Batarayanapura, Sparkle One Mall, and Amruthahalli.

Other areas to be impacted are --- Sahakarinagar G Block, Sabarinagar, Canara Bank Layout, Dhanalakshmi Layout, Tindlu Main Road, Sir MV Layout, Tindlu Village, Saptagiri Layout, Jnaneshwari Layout, Gururshana Layout, Venkataswamappa Layout, Nanjappa Circle, L & J Enclave, Basava Samiti and surrounding areas.
