Bengaluru Power Cut On September 6: BESCOM Announces 16-Hour-Long Power Outages: Full List Of Affected Areas

Once again, the Bangalore Electricity Supply Company (BESCOM) has declared long hours of power outages in the city from September 5th to September 15th. However, on September 6, 2025, the company will shut down power systems in various places of Bengaluru for at least 16 hours. This is due to maintenance work. Citizens took to their X handle to complain about the situation.

Bengaluru Power Cut On September 6:

Due to maintenance work on September 6 at the 66/11kV Banaswadi Power Transformer-3, power supply in Bengaluru will be disturbed from 6 AM to 10 PM on Saturday. BESCOM has directed citizens to plan their day accordingly.

Bengaluru Power Cut Affected Areas:

Areas where power outage could emerge are --- 7th A and 9th Main, HRBR Layout, HRBR Layout 2nd Block, TNS Layout, Rajkumar Park, Kullappa Circle, Banjara Layout, Banjara Arcade, Trinity Enclave, RKBR Enclave, Agara Lake, Manjunath Nagar, Andhra Colony, parts of Punyabhumi Layout, Riches Garden, MR Riches Garden, West Riches Garden, Karekal Gudda, NRI Layout Phase 1 & Dodda Gubbi, Bilishivale, and surrounding regions.

Bengaluru Power Cut Till September 15:

In another post, BESCOM has confirmed that it will carry out maintenance work from September 5th to September 15th, starting from 6 AM to 10 PM.

This maintenance work is said to be essential for a reliable power supply and the safe functioning of the electricity infrastructure in Bengaluru.

Bengaluru Power Cut Impact:

Netizens have taken to their X account to complain about the issue related to the power cut since yesterday. One user complained about power cut since 8PM of September 5. He further asked about the situation at power restoration since the power was not back even at 3AM on September 6th.

Another user said, "BESCOM again no power in Malleshpalya area, no response in BESCOM app or phone number. That lady even seemed angry that I called and disturbed her. It's not even raining, why 3 hours of powercut without any updates?! Fix it please."

One user added, "To be honest, you know that the city is related to IT industry. Also, today is Friday. The only thing that a person is paying the bills and any conveniences are that they should enjoy commodities. But the thing is that we are still hearing about electricity outages in the AI era."

Many citizens are still struggling without electricity.
