Bengaluru Power Cut Today: BESCOM Declares 7 Hour to 2 Day Long Outages on June 22 & 23; Check Areas Affected

If you live in Bengaluru, you might want to charge your devices and plan your day ahead since the Bangalore Electricity Supply Company Limited, better known as BESCOM, has announced a major power cut in Bengaluru today, June 22 and tomorrow, June 23, due to urgent maintenance and substation upgrade works.

According to the official notification published in Vijay Karnataka, several major residential and commercial zones, including areas near Mattikere, Yeshwanthpur, and Hesaraghatta, will experience temporary electricity outages.

7-Hour Power Outage on June 22

A major seven-hour power cut in Bengaluru will impact some of the major neighborhoods due to urgent infrastructure maintenance.

Key Areas Affected include Lottegollahalli, Munishamappa Layout, R.K. Garden, Sanjeevappa Layout, MLA Layout, Netaji Nagar, Pipeline Road, Mattikere, Mohan Kumar Nagar, J.P. Park, Akkiyappa Garden, and B.K. Nagar, LIG Colony, Pampa Nagar, Yeshwanthpur 1st Main Road, HMT Layout, L.R. Banda Road, Gokula 1st Stage, Gurumurthy Reddy Colony, Kevin Cross, SBI Colony, Brindavan Nagar, and HMT Main Road.

Institutional & Commercial Belts like Mattikere 2nd Main Road to 10th Main Road, Pear Layout, Tank Bund Road, IISc, M.S. Ramaiah (MSR) Block, Vyalikaval, Ranganathapura, BHEL, IISc Training Centre, Ambedkar Nagar, Yeshwanthpur Pipeline Road, LN Colony, Divanara Palya, Model Colony, and Sharif Naga will also be affected by the power outage today.

5.5-Hour Long Power Cut In Bengaluru on June 22

The following localities will face a slightly shorter electricity disruption today, including Kollapuriamma, Divya Shanthi, Govindapura, Kaveri, Brindavan Nagar, Triton Garage, Gandhi Nagar, Bhairaveshwara Apartment, Hegde Nagar, Chandrika Soap Factory, and Depot, along with all surrounding areas

2-Day Long Power Outage, June 22 & June 23

Residents living in areas fed by the Soladevanahalli Substation should prepare for an extended 2-day long Bengaluru power cut as supply will be disconnected for roughly 11 hours on both Monday and Tuesday.

Primary Localities affected include Tarabanahalli, Hurulichikkanahalli, T.B. Cross, Hesaraghatta, Belavadi, Dwarakanagar, Chikkabanavara, Maruthi Nagar, Ganapathi Nagar, Shanthinagar, and Brothers Colony, Krishna College Road, Raghavendra Layout, Sasaluhatty, Boniface Layout, Guddadahalli, Dasenahalli, Thotada Basavanna Temple, Hosahalli Palya, CDIT, Danish Farm, KMF, Guna Agrahara, Ganesha Gollahalli, and K.T. Pura, M.S. Ramaiah College of Arts, Science and Commerce (MSRASC) Substation, Chikkabanavara, Linganahalli, Madhavapura, Kalenahalli, Shivakote, Mavallipura, Kondashettyhalli, Kurubarahalli, Palanahalli, Raghavendra Dham, Jailkere, Acharya College Main Road, Achutha Nagar, and Soladevanahalli.
