Bengaluru Power Cut Tomorrow, July 29: BESCOM Announces 6hrs Long Power Outage: Check Full of Areas Affected

Residents of Bengaluru in some major neighborhoods, need to prepare for the power supply disruptions as the Bangalore Electricity Supply Company Limited or BESCOM will carry out important maintenance operations.

The electricity provider announced that scheduled outages in Bengaluru will occur on July 29 between 11:00 AM and 5:00 PM each day.

A similar outage was scheduled on July 28 in the Puravankara Substation Jurisdiction in areas such as Halehalli, Maragondanahalli, Kalkere Road, Byrathi Village, Kanakashree Layout, and Atma Vidya Nagar. Additionally, residents in Byrathi, Gubbi Cross, Byrathi Bande, Kyalasanahalli, Puravankara Apartments, and Purna Prajna Layout.

The temporary six-hour shutdown is necessary to carry out urgent infrastructure maintenance and substation repairs.

As per BESCOM officials, these preventive measures are very important to maintain grid reliability, upgrade equipment, and minimise the risk of power failures in the future.

Areas Affected By Bengaluru Power Cut

The power outage in Bengaluru will impact distinct zones as per substations undergoing maintenance work:

The outage on July 29 will cover the major Kattigenahalli Substation jurisdiction, including Uttar Gate 1, 2, and 3, Embassy Office, and Philips Company. Other affected localities include Dwaraka Nagar, Baba Nagar, Kattigenahalli, Bagalur Cross, Bagalur Main Road, Manipal College, Vinayaka Nagar, and surrounding vicinity.

Advisory for Residents During The Power Cut

Since basic services, work-from-home setups, and commercial operations are heavily dependent on electricity, BESCOM has urged citizens and businesses in the affected sectors to plan their daily schedules accordingly.

Residents are advised to fully charge their laptops, mobile phones, power banks, and emergency lighting before 11:00 AM.

BESCOM officials have requested for public cooperation during these mandatory maintenance windows, promising that power will be restored as soon as work concludes at 5:00 PM on respective days.
