After the power outage in Bengaluru on Monday, June 22, Several parts of the city will continue to face a planned power outage on Tuesday, June 23rd as the Bangalore Electricity Supply Company (BESCOM) carries out scheduled maintenance work at the Soledevanahalli Substation.
The Bengaluru power cut is part of a two-day maintenance exercise that began on June 22 and will continue through June 23. Residents in the affected localities should plan accordingly, as electricity supply will remain disrupted for nearly 11 hours, from 9:00 AM to 8:00 PM.

Reason Behind Bengaluru Power Cut Today
According to the maintenance notice by BESCOM, the temporary power outage in Bengaluru is being carried out to facilitate essential maintenance work at the Soledevanahalli Substation. BESCOM frequently coordinates with KPTCL to conduct such maintenance activities periodically to improve the reliability, safety, and efficiency of the electricity distribution network across the city.

The Bengaluru power cut today will primarily take place in South-Central commercial and residential pockets, as scheduled from 10 AM to 5 PM
Koramangala & Surrounding Hubs: Koramangala 3rd, 4th, 5th, and 6th Blocks, Koramangala Industrial Area, Madiwala, Venkateshwara Layout, Chikkadugodi, Jogi Colony, St. John's Hospital & staff quarters, Maruthinagar, Adugodi (7th & 8th Blocks), CAR Police Quarters, Adugodi Main Road, and the 100 Feet Ring Road vicinity.
Jayanagar Subdivision & RBI GIS Areas: RBI Layout, Kothanur, JP Nagar 5th Phase, Shreyas Colony, Gaurav Nagar, Nataraja Layout, Nrupathunga Nagar, Jamboo Savari Dinne, Chunchaghatta, Brigade Millennium Apartments, Brigade Gardenia Apartments, Salarpuria Tower, Big Bazaar, Accenture, KMF Godown, Nanjappa Layout, New MICO Road, Chikkalakshmi Layout, Mahalingeshwara Layout, Bangalore Dairy, Forum Mall, Lakkasandra, Wilson Garden, Chinnayana Palya, Chandrappa Nagar, and the NIMHANS Administrative Block.

Advisory For Residents During Power Cut In Bengaluru
Residents and businesses in the affected areas are advised to:
- Charge mobile phones, laptops, and other electronic devices in advance.
- Keep backup power sources ready, if available.
- Store sufficient drinking water if your building depends on electric pumps.
- Plan work-from-home schedules and business operations keeping the outage timings in mind.
- Avoid using elevators during the scheduled shutdown period.
