The exact duration for each locality will depend on the complexity of the task, such as whether only minor repairs are needed or larger upgrades are planned. In some stretches, residents may notice short outages instead of a continuous shutdown if work is executed in phases.
Bengaluru Power Cut For Maintenance Work
Ahead of the summer season, the planned power cuts let BESCOM to carry out the mandatory maintenance work and system upgrade programmes. The power shutdown window helps in carrying out maintenance work related to transformers, replace ageing underground and overhead cables, repair feeder lines, and strengthen the wider distribution network.
