BESCOM Power Cut Alert: Several districts across Karnataka are likely to face power outages on Wednesday, March 18. According to the Bangalore Electricity Supply Company Limited, scheduled disruptions are expected in parts of Chitradurga. Meanwhile, residents in Southwest Bengaluru and nearby areas have also reported power supply issues during the day.
BESCOM's update on power cut in Karnataka districts coincides with the India Meteorological Department (IMD)'s rainfall alert. Bengaluru and other Karnataka districts received rainfall on Tuesday, and the weather forecasting agency has predicted mild rainfall on Wednesday as well.

BESCOM Power Cut Alert For March 18
" Due to electrical line maintenance work being carried out from the city to the Ammanapura Railway Station on March 18, there will be a disruption in power supply from 2:00 PM to 5:00 PM," per a newspaper clipping shared by BESCOM on Wedneday, March 18.
Power Cut Today: Key Areas To Be Impacted
As per BESCOM alert, power supply will be impacted in Anjaneya Temple area, Basaveshwara Temple area, Melenahatti, Kayamanakere of Karnataka's Chitradurga.
Narasimhaswamy Temple (Garaga), Arasanahatti, Garaga Kavalu, Sadarahalli, Chikkandavadi, Kurimatti, Chikkanakatte, Chikkabemmiganooru, K.S. Halli, Kunigehalli, Horekandavadi, Gundeganooru, Rangavvanahalli, B. Durga, Aiyyanahalli, Kaduru, Kanchipura, S.B. Halli, Chikkandavadi, Chikkabanuru, Kavalethu, Hosahalli.
Saveramma, Gundeganooru, Galimaramma Temple area, and nearby villages may also be impacted due to power supply disruption on Wednesday.
Bengaluru Power Cut Today
There is no official information by BESCOM on Bengaluru power cut today. However, certain Bengaluru residents have complaint of power supply disruption areas like NGR Layout, Roopena Agrahara 13th cross, Amrita Nagar Phase 2 of South Bengaluru, etc.
"As of now there is an interruption in 66/11KV HSR MUSS F22 Feeder Fault Power supply will be restored @ 11:30 Hrs (Approximately)," read a social media post by BESCOM.

The IMD has forecasted light to moderate rain/thunderstorms and thundershowers at one or two places over Bengaluru Urban, Bengaluru Rural, Ramanagara, Tumakuru, Mandya, Chikkamagaluru, Shivamogga, Hassan, Kodagu, Davangere, Mysuru, Chamarajanagar, Udupi, Dakshina Kannada, Bidar, Kalburgi, Yadgir, Raichur, Belagavi and Dharwad districts on Wednesday.
