Bengaluru Power Cut Today? Unscheduled Power Outages Reported On August 12; Check BESCOM Helpline Numbers

Many citizens in Bengaluru are reporting power outages on August 12, despite the Bangalore Electricity Supply Company Limited (BESCOM) not carrying any scheduled outages. Some citizens are facing power cut since last night. Complaints are flooded at BESCOM's X handler. BESCOM has reported that there has been interruptions at one of its 66/11 KV substation feeders. At times like this, BESCOM has released helpline numbers to directly reach out to them for quick recovery. Here's what Bengaluru citizens need to know.

Bengaluru Power Cut Today, August 12, 2026:

There are no scheduled power outages announced by BESCOM on August 12, 2026. However, many citizens are reporting power cuts for the past several hours on Wednesday.

Since early morning of August 12, citizens have reported power cuts in locations like Nobo Nagar, Immadihalli Road, near Padmavati Temple of Heggadadevanapura, Ayyapa Layout, Doddanagamangala, B Narayanapura Mahadevapura, Mallappa Layout, Mallespallaya 7th main road, Ramesh Reddy Layout, and Munnireddy Layout, among others.

To one complainer, BESCOM replied that there is an interruption in 66/11 KV Bagmane MUSS F11 Feeder VL tripped due to the 250 KV transformer LT fuse burn out.

A user said, "Unscheduled power outage at Ramesh Reddy Layout, Mylsandra, for over 3 hours now. We were told power would be restored by 9:30 AM, but it's still not back. This has become an everyday issue in our area. Please look into this urgently and restore supply."
