Bengaluru Weather Alert: IMD Predicts Heavy Rain & Thunderstorms for 2 Days In Karnataka; Check 7-Day Forecast
Bengaluru weather may get rainy on Monday and Tuesday, October 5 and 6, as rain activity is ongoing across parts of Karnataka, according to The India Meteorological Department (IMD) weather forecasts.
The city is expected to see a gradual reduction in rainfall from Wednesday, October 7, with mostly dry conditions likely to be seen over the rest of the week.

IMD has forecast rainfall across South Interior Karnataka until October 7, with isolated heavy rainfall likely on Monday. Weather in Bengaluru tomorrow and neighbouring districts could be covered with thunderstorms and lightning with intense rainfall.
According to the forecast, Bengaluru has a 70% chance of rainfall on Monday, with the maximum temperature expected to reach 28.5°C and the minimum temperature around 20.2°C. Rainfall probability is expected to remain elevated at 55% on Tuesday before declining to 15% on Wednesday.
IMD Forecast: Rainfall Likely Across Karnataka Until October 7
The IMD's national weather bulletin showed rainfall activity over South Interior Karnataka from October 2 to 7. Isolated heavy rainfall was forecast for South Interior Karnataka on October 5.
The forecast covers Bengaluru, Mysuru, Hassan, Kodagu and other parts of the region. Coastal Karnataka is also expected to receive rainfall till October 7, with fairly rainfall likely over parts of the coastal belt. North Interior Karnataka may experience rain and thunderstorms during the forecast period.
Bengaluru Commuters Advised to Stay Cautious
Since there is a high probability of rainfall on Monday and Tuesday, commuters in Bengaluru may face slower traffic, reduced visibility and waterlogging some low lying areas particularly during heavy rainfall.
IMD has advised residents to be cautious on waterlogged roads and keep a watch on the official weather updates.
Weather Outlook Ahead
Rainfall activity is expected to continue across several parts of Karnataka in the first half of the week. Bengaluru is expected to see a major reduction in rainfall probability from Wednesday, October 7. Over the weekend mostly dry weather will remain with a slight possibility of isolated showers on Friday and Saturday. Daytime temperatures could approach 30°C on Saturday and Sunday, while nights are expected to remain relatively mild.
