The coastal belt is expected to be among the first regions to experience the change.

Dakshina Kannada, Udupi and neighbouring areas are likely to see cooler weather, more cloud cover and scattered showers. Uttara Kannada may continue to experience intermittent sunshine and clouds initially, before rainfall activity becomes more organised later in the week.

From June 24, rainfall is expected to cover a wider part of the coastal region. Forecasts indicate that more than three-fourths of the coastal belt could receive rain, with intensity likely to rise significantly after June 26. The IMD has forecast isolated heavy rainfall of 64.5 mm to 115.5 mm along the coast between June 21 and June 27.
