Bengaluru Weather Alert: Multiple districts in Karnataka are witnessing severe cold wave like situation over the past few days. The cold wave like situation is likely to persist in northern and coastal districts of the state next week, stated the India Meteorological Department (IMD) in its latest report. Meanwhile, Bengaluru weather is likely to remain cold with minimum temperature continuing to stay below 15 degree Celsius.
Cold wave like situation has further intensified across the state as mercury dipped significantly across the state. Additionally, dense fog has also reduced visibility during the morning hours and have also impacted flight scheduled in the state capital.

Bengaluru Weather Alert
The weather in Bengaluru is likely to remain cold with minimum temperature remaining below 15 degree Celsius in the first half of the week. Meanwhile, multiple Karnataka districts will continue to experience severe cold wave like situations in the coming days.
As per the IMD weather report, the minimum temperature in Bengaluru is likely to remain at 15 degree Celsius till 24 December, and there could be marginal increase in minimum temperature in the second half of the week.
Meanwhile, the maximum temperature may see some surge with in the coming days. As per the IMD forecast, the maximum temperature is likely to remain at 26 degree Celsius on Sunday, December 21, the maximum temperature may surge to 27 degree Celsius on Monday, Dec 22, and will remain hooked to 28 degree Celsius in the rest of the week.
Cold wave conditions have intensified across Karnataka as the temperatures dipped sharply in several districts, especially in the northern interior region. As per the India Meteorological Department (IMD), rain is likely in Bengaluru for the next two days, while dense fog is expected to reduce visibility during early morning hours.

As per the regional IMD weather report, cold wave conditions are likely to prevail Bidar, Kalaburgi, Yadgir, Raichur and Vijayapura districts of North Interior Karnataka. There will be no major change in the minimum temperature in the next twenty four hours and there will be gradual rise by 2-3 degree Celsius.
According to the IMD weather forecast for Karnataka, cold wave conditions are likely across all northern interior districts. The agency has also warned that Ballari, Vijayanagar, Chitradurga, Davangere and Shivamogga in the southern interior region may face cold wave conditions on Saturday, 20 December 2025.
The present cold wave in Karnataka marks one of the season's harshest spells, with northern and southern interior districts experiencing marked drops in minimum temperatures. While IMD expects no significant change along the coastal areas, the combination of fog, chill and reduced visibility in Bengaluru and surrounding regions continues to affect daily routines and travel.
