Karnataka stays under heatwave conditions through mid-April, with temperatures remaining higher than usual in many districts. Until this shift takes hold, residents are urged to manage heat exposure, while farmers balance current stress with upcoming changes.

Across the state, the pattern stays uneven, with different regions facing varied impacts. Coastal belts, the Malnad hills, north interior and south interior districts all see separate trends. Meteorological agencies expect hot, sunny days in most places, scattered light showers in a few pockets, and a clearer move to stormy conditions after mid-April.
North interior Karnataka, including Belagavi, Dharwad, Gadag, Haveri and Kalaburagi, continues with mainly dry weather for now.

Temperatures here remain above the seasonal average, adding to daytime heat stress. Forecasts indicate no meaningful rainfall before 18 April, though thunderstorms could develop afterwards. Farmers are asked to protect crops and livestock during this prolonged hot phase.
