Bengaluru Weather Today: IMD Red Alert For Karnataka Districts, Orange Alert In Dharwad, Haveri, etc For 3 Day
Karnataka Weather Alert: The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued a rainfall alert for Bengaluru and other districts in Karnataka for the coming three to four days. As the monsoon continues to advance across the Arabian peninsula, the IMD has also issued an orange alert for heavy rainfall in multiple Karnataka districts.
Bengaluru Weather Alert
The Karnataka capital is set to receive heavy rainfall from Tuesday. As per the weather forecast agency, the metro city is likely to see cloudy sky with one or two rainfall episodes and thundershowers on Tuesday, June 9. Afterwards, Bengaluru weather is likely to be generally cloudy with light rainfall from June 10 to June 13, ie between Wednesday and Saturday.

Bengaluru's minimum temperature is likely to decline in the next three to four days. The metro city's minimum temperature is likely to remain 22 degrees Celsius on June 9 and then decline to 21 degrees Celsius on June 10, then further decline to 20 degrees Celsius on June 12 and June 13.
Karnataka Weather Update: IMD Issues Red Alert In Multiple Districts
The weather forecasting agency has issued a red alert to nearly all the Karnataka districts on Wednesday, June 10. Additionally, there has been a red alert for south interior districts of Karnataka on Tuesday, June 9. The weather forecasting agency has issued an orange alert for Thursday, June 11.
IMD has issued a red alert for five districts, ie Dakshina Kannada, Udupi, Uttara Kannada, Chikkamagaluru and Shivamogga for Tuesday, June 9.
Karnataka saw normal rainfall from March to May. The state total reached 125 mm. The long-term average is 115 mm. This marks an 8 per cent excess for the season.
Various regions showed different rainfall levels this season. South interior rainfall was slightly below the average. North interior districts saw excess rainfall levels.
IMD Issues Orange Alert For Karnataka Districts
Raichur, Dharwad, Uttara Kannada, Haveri, Shivamogga, Chikkamagaluru, and Kodagu will be under orange alert, News 18 reported citing IMD. Udupi, Uttara Kannada, Chikkamagaluru, Shivamogga, Belagavi, Dharwad and Haveri will remain on red alert on Wednesday, June 10. As per the TOI report, citing IMD, the red alert in these Karnataka districts will remain in effect th for 24 hours from 8:30 am on the respective days. These districts are expected to see heavy rainfall within 24 hours.
