Bengaluru Weather Today: The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has predicted that Bengaluru is likely to see clearer skies on Thursday, March 12. The maximum and minimum temperatures in the city are likely to hover between 34 degrees Celsius and 19 degrees Celsius. For the rest of Karnataka districts, hot and humid conditions are likely to prevail in the coastal regions for the next two to three days.

As per Karnataka's regional metereological centre (RMC), there is likely to be mainly clear sky on Thursday, ,March 12 in Bengaluru Urban. The minimum and maximum temperature are likely to be 34 degree Celsius and 19 degree Celsius. Bengaluru Rural is also likely to witness similar weather conditions today with minimum and maximum temperature hovering between 34 degree Celsius and 19 degree Celsius. Maximum temperature in the metro city is likely to decline in the coming days.

When Will It Rain in Bengaluru?

In a major relief for Bengaluru residents, the weather forecasting agency has predicted that the metro city may see some light rainfall or showers between Sunday, March 15 and Tuesday, March 17.

When Will It Rain In Karnataka Districts?

Asper the local IMD weather forecast, there can be light rainfall at over one or two places in Dakshina Kannada district on March 25. There can be light rainfall and some decline in temperature in districts located in coastal Karnataka, north interior Karnataka, and south interior Karnataka on March 16.


IMD Prediction For Rainfall In Bengaluru, Other Karnataka Districts

There is heightened possibility of light rainfall and decline in temperature from Sunday, March 15 onwards for few days. As per IMD forecast for March 15, "Light rain likely to occur at one or two places over Kodagu, Mysuru, Chikkamagaluru and Hassan districts."
Dry weather is likely to prevail across Ballari, Bengaluru Rural, Bengaluru Urban, Chamarajanagara, Chikkaballapura, Chitradurga, Davangere, Kolar, Mandaya, Ramanagara, Shivamogga, Tumkuru and Vijayanagara districts of South Interior Karnataka.

Bengaluru rainfall can occur on March 16, Monday. "Light rain likely to occur at one or two places over Kodagu, Shivamogga, Chikkamagaluru, Kolar, Chikkaballapura, Bengaluru (Rural), Bengaluru (Urban), and Ramanagara districts," read latest IMD report.
On March 17, "light rain likely to occur at one or two places over Kodagu, Mysuru, Chamarajanagara, Hassan, Ramanagara and Mandya, districts."

While there is a possibility of light rainfall in Bengaluru and other Karnataka districts in coming four to five days, the metro city has seen a sharp surge in temperature over the past two weeks. In an unusual surge in temperature, Bengaluru also witnessed a significant jump in UV rays exposure.

Bengaluru's weather condition has raised concerns among experts, as the city's UV index jumped to an extreme level of 13 last week, which is far beyond the safe threshold.
