The day began on a pleasant note, with temperatures around 32°C, hazy sunshine, light winds, and moderate visibility. However, as the evening sets in, cloud cover has thickened, pointing to possible rain in Bengaluru tonight and a shift in overall weather conditions.

Thunderstorm Warning Across Karnataka Till May 8

According to the Karnataka State Natural Disaster Monitoring Centre, thunderstorms with gusty winds of 30-40 kmph are likely to occur at isolated places across South Interior Karnataka from May 4 to May 8.Similar weather activity is expected in Coastal Karnataka and North Interior Karnataka

IMD Issues Yellow Alert for Heavy Rainfall

The India Meteorological Department has issued a yellow alert for Karnataka, forecasting heavy rainfall between 64.5 mm and 115.5 mm in coastal and hilly districts on May 6 and May 7.

District-wise Temperature

The recent data shows that several districts across Karnataka are experiencing intense heat, even as rain activity begins to build. As per the latest temperature report, places like Raichur (42.8°C), Yadgir (42.4°C), Kalaburagi (42.2°C), and Bidar (42.2°C) recorded some of the highest maximum temperatures in the state. Ballari also remained extremely hot at 41.3°C, while Vijayapura touched 41.6°C. In contrast, Bengaluru Urban recorded a maximum of around 37°C, indicating relatively moderate but still warm conditions. Coastal and hill districts such as Kodagu and Udupi saw comparatively lower temperatures, staying in the 33-35°C range.

Bengaluru Weather Forecast for the Week

The Bengaluru weather forecast suggests hazy sunshine on Wednesday, followed by afternoon thunderstorms from Thursday to Saturday. Residents can expect frequent rain spells, cloudy skies, and sudden weather changes, especially during late afternoons and evenings.
