Bengaluru Weather Update: IMD Warns Of Thunderstorms & Rain as Heatwave Conditions Persists

Bengaluru weather today stayed fairly warm, and the city experiencing mostly sunny weather conditions. Over the past few days, Bengaluru temperatures have ranged between 35°C and 37°C during the day and dipped to around 24°C at night.

There is no active rain alert for Bengaluru today, April 10, as per the India Meteorological Department. However, residents should stay cautious as isolated thunderstorms are likely later tonight, bringing brief spells of rain and gusty winds in some areas.

Heatwave Alert In Bengaluru: Rising Temperatures Till April 15

A heatwave warning has been issued for Bengaluru weather today and other parts of Karnataka from April 10 to April 15, due to intense sunlight and low humidity levels. Daytime temperatures are expected to remain elevated, increasing the risk of heat-related discomfort.
Weather experts advise people to stay hydrated, avoid direct sun exposure during peak hours, and take precautions, especially during the afternoon.

Thunderstorm Warning For Karnataka: Gusty Winds Expected

According to the Karnataka State Natural Disaster Monitoring Centre, thunderstorms with rain and gusty winds around 30-40 kmph are likely to occur in parts of Interior Karnataka between April 13 and April 16th.

Additionally, coastal regions of Karnataka may also experience thunderstorms and light rain between April 14 and April 16, indicating a shift in weather patterns after the ongoing dry spell.

7-Day Karnataka Weather Forecast: Dry Weather To Continue With Cloud Build-Up

The IMD's latest forecast say that dry and sunny weather will dominate Karnataka over the next few days. However, scattered cloud formation is expected post-noon, particularly over South Interior Karnataka, Malnad, and coastal regions until April 13.

This indicates that while widespread rainfall is unlikely, localised weather activity such as thunderstorms may develop in isolated pockets.
