Bharti Airtel Pips HDFC To Become Fifth Most Valued Firm
Telecom operator Bharti Airtel has pipped the housing finance firm HDFC to beomce the fifth most valued firm in the country. At the closing session on April 15, 2020, m-cap of Bharti Airtel was Rs. 1987.86 crore more than HDFC at Rs 2,78,206.15 crore in comparison to HDFC's m-cap of Rs 2,76,218.29 crore on the BSE.
In the past two trading sessions, the stock of the telecom major gained but ended the trading day marginally weaker down 0.29% at Rs. 510.25. ICICI Securities also has given a 'buy' call on the counter with a target price of Rs. 610 per share.
In the previous session with weakness seen in the financial stock, the counter of HDFC ended lower by 3.61% or Rs. 59.70 at Rs. 1594.75.
Currently, RIL remains the highest valued firm followed by TCS, HUL, HDFC Bank and Airtel.
