Bharti Airtel Q4 Result: Net Profit Jumps 50% To Rs 3,006 Crore, Board Declares Dividend

Bharti Airtel, the second-largest telecom provider in India, saw a 50% increase in its quarterly consolidated net profit to Rs 3,006 crore from Rs 2,008 crore a year earlier. The telecom giant's net profit increased by 89 per cent sequentially. The mobile Average Revenue Per User (ARPU) jumped to Rs. 193 in Q4FY23 as against Rs. 178 in Q4FY22.

The company's operational revenue increased by 14% to Rs 36,009 crore from Rs 31,500 crore reported a year ago. According to the company's exchange filing, revenue increased marginally by 1% sequentially.

During the quarter, consolidated EBITDA was Rs 18,807 crore, increasing 18% year on year and 1% quarter on quarter. EBITDA margin was 52.2 per cent for the quarter, compared to 50.8 per cent in the same quarter last year and 52.0 per cent the prior quarter.

The Board of Directors of the company recommends a final dividend of Rs. 4/share.

"The Board has considered and recommended a final dividend of Rs. 4/- per fully paid-up equity share of face value Rs. 5/- each and Re. 1/- per partly paid-up equity share of face value Rs. 5/- each (paid-up Rs. 1.25 per share) for the financial year 2022-23. The dividend is in proportion to the amount paid-up on each equity share of face value Rs. 5/- each," the company said in an exchange filing.

Meanwhile, the stock of Bharti Airtel closed at Rs. 785.60 apiece, down by 1.22% on NSE. It traded its 52 week low at Rs. 628.75/share and 52-week high at Rs. 860.55/share, respectively. It jumped 1.26% in the past week. It has given 7.5% in 1 year, 45.84% in 3 years and 95.74% in 5 years, respectively.
