It was a great Tuesday for Bhatia Communication & Retail Ltd's shares as the stock registered gains of 3.90%. The closing price ranged to Rs 30 per share, having registered an intraday high of Rs 30.32 and a low of Rs 28.91. This is quite a jump when compared to the previous closing price of Rs 28.88. Bhatia's Telecom headquarters delivered a multibagger return of 300 over the past five years. A 60% increase is also noted originating from the 52-week low of Rs 18.87. Their 52-week high is Rs 38.90. It was also noted that trading volume increases surged drastically on BSE. Approximately over one point, three averages were noted.

Company Q2FY25 showed remarkable results growth season for the company's operations. Net sales improved by a margin of 16% from Rs 94.36 crore in Q2FY24 to Rs 107.32 crore. Net profit however increased to Rs 3.66 crore from Rs 2.47 crore marking an increase of 48%. H1FY25 saw the company into double-digit growth levels of net sales coming in at Rs 212.14 crore an increase of 11%. Net profits however were at 7.31 crores an increase of 21% when compared to H1FY24.
The firm has sound financial rigidities with a market cap of Rs 362 crore, a PE ratio of 34x and the return ratios are healthy with ROE at 19% and ROCE at 21 per cent. There is promoter confidence with promoters raising their holding to 73.88% in September 2024 from 73.85% in June 2024.
With its base in South Gujarat, Bhatia Communication has been gaining ground in Maharashtra as well. Last year in 2024, it achieved a remarkable count of 200 stores. As of H1FY25, the total outlet number stands at 210, which the company hopes to increase to 235 by the end of FY25, as it plans to open 25 stores in Maharashtra. Each retail outlet is about 760 sq. ft in area and has a customer conversion rate of 98%.
The company exhibits productive operational and financial capabilities. It spends Rs 8-10 lakh on Capital Expenditure per store, and Rs 33-35 lakh for working capital with a return cycle of 12-13 months for each outlet. The balance sheet is healthy with a low debt-to-equity ratio of 0.19x and a net debt-free position with cash in hand.
Communications and Retail sections work in the area of retail and wholesale distribution of mobile devices, accessories, home appliances as well as other electronics.
The company maintains excellent partnerships with prominent global brands such as Apple, Samsung, One Plus, Vivo, Oppo, Realme, Xiaomi, Motorola, HP, and others.
With its presence and performance scaling further, Bhatia Communication stands a chance to remain the frontrunner in the electronic retail space.
