Bhatia Communications & Retail (India) Ltd has declared its financial results for the quarter ended 30th June 2024. Bhatia Communications & Retail (India) saw a 2.24% boost in net profit to Rs 3.65 crore in the quarter that ended in June 2024 compared to Rs 3.57 crore in the quarter that ended in June 2023. Sales increased from Rs 97.07 crore in Q1FY24 to Rs 104.82 crore in Q1FY25, a 7.98% growth.
The Board of Directors, "Declared 01st Interim Dividend of Re. 0.01/- (1%) per equity share having face value of I/- each for the financial year 2024-25. The said interim dividend shall be paid to the shareholders within stipulated time," said the company in a stock exchange filing.

"Annual General Meeting of the members of the company will be called upon and held on Friday, 6th September, 2024 at 01.00 PM through Video Conferencing / Other Audio-Visual Means (VC/OAVM) to transact the business as per the notice of Annual General Meeting of the company. Decided Friday, 30th August, 2024 as a cut-off date as for the purpose of e-voting and to close the register of members of the company from Saturday, 31st August, 2024 to Friday, 06th September, 2024 for the purpose of Annual General Meeting," Bhatia Communications informed stock exchanges.
"Pursuant to the Regulation 30 and 43 of SEBI (Listing Obligations & Disclosure Requirements) Regulations, 2015 we wish to inform you that the Board of Directors at their meeting held on 13th August, 2024 at 04.00 PM at the registered office of the company at 132, Dr. Ambedkar Shopping Centre, Ring Road, Surat-395002 Gujarat, has declared an interim dividend of Re. 0.01/- per equity share having face value of Rs. 1/- i.e (1%) to the shareholders for the financial year 2024-25. The dividend shall be paid to shareholders within the time prescribed under Companies Act, 2013," the company said in a regulatory filing.
The company has fixed 23-08-2024 as the record date for the purpose of determining members eligible for payment of interim dividend, if approved by the Board of Directors in the ensuing board meeting to be held on 13-08-2024.
In order to scrutinise e-voting at the 16th Annual General Meeting of the Company, the Board has designated Mr. Ranjit Binod Kejriwal, a practicing company secretary, as a Scrutiniser. The E-voting facility will begin on Tuesday, September 3, 2024, at 9:00 a.m. and finish on Thursday, September 5, 2024, at 5:00 p.m.
The company deals in the retail and wholesale distribution of electronic equipment, including air conditioners, washing machines, tablets, data cards, mobile accessories, and mobile phones. In addition to operating 81 retail outlets chain throughout the South Gujarat region-including Surat, Vapi, Valsad, Navsari, Vyara, and other towns-the firm also offers the same services via its 17 franchise retail chain dealers.
