Avi Polymers Ltd has cleared a major move into technology and digital services by agreeing to take a controlling stake in JVTR Consultants Pvt Ltd. The polymer and speciality chemical company is using a share swap deal to secure 90 per cent ownership in the technology-focused firm.
In a regulatory statement, the company confirmed the structure and scale of the transaction through an explicit board note. It said, "The board of AVI Polymers has approved the acquisition of a 90 per cent stake in JVTR Consultants Private Limited through a share swap arrangement at an indicative valuation of Rs.500 crore," the statement said.

The share swap gives Avi Polymers exposure to information technology services and a range of digital activities. The plan includes software development, system integration, digital platforms and other related technology solutions to broaden the company's portfolio beyond polymers and speciality chemicals and deepen its role in technology-driven services.
