What Will Impact Gold & Silver Rates Ahead?
"Persistent geopolitical tensions are expected to keep a geopolitical risk premium embedded in oil prices, leaving energy markets elevated and reinforcing concerns that inflation could remain sticky. That, in turn, is likely to support the U.S. dollar and strengthen expectations that interest rates will remain higher for longer," said Ponmudi R, CEO of Enrich Money.
"That combination may continue to cap gains in precious metals, even as safe-haven demand provides an underlying source of support," added Ponmudi.
Furthermore, the expert said, against this backdrop, the U.S. Federal Reserve's policy meeting on July 28-29 will be another key event for commodity markets. While policymakers are widely expected to leave interest rates unchanged, investors will closely scrutinize the Fed's assessment of inflation risks, economic growth and the future path of monetary policy.
A more hawkish tone could lift Treasury yields and the U.S. dollar, weighing on gold and silver while adding to concerns over global demand, whereas a more balanced outlook could provide support to precious metals and improve overall risk sentiment.
