About Bengaluru Namma Metro Yellow Line

Bengaluru's Namma Metro Yellow Line has added a major public transport link to the city's busy southern corridor. It connects Rashtreeya Vidyalaya Road with Bommasandra through a fully elevated route of about 19 km. Inaugurated on 10 August 2025, the line is important not only for daily commuters but also for people travelling to malls, restaurants, cinemas, offices and weekend leisure hubs along the IT belt.

The corridor has 16 stations and links several high-traffic neighbourhoods, including BTM Layout, Central Silk Board, Bommanahalli, Hosa Road, Electronic City and Hebbagodi. For Bengaluru residents, the line offers a more predictable option on a route that has long been associated with road congestion, especially around Silk Board, Electronic City and Hosur Road.
