Bihar industrial growth plans: Samrat Choudhary urges BCCI support to attract investment
Chief Minister Samrat Choudhary said the Bihar Chamber of Commerce and Industries can help deliver Bihar industrial growth by attracting private investment under the Bihar Industrial Investment Promotion Package-2025. Speaking at BCCI centenary events, he promised investor support and said district officials will meet business groups quarterly, while crimes will be acted on within 24 hours.
Chief Minister Samrat Choudhary on Sunday said the Bihar Chamber of Commerce and Industries can support the state’s push for industrial growth. Choudhary said the government aimed to draw maximum investment into Bihar. Choudhary added that support from the business community could help move the state from progress to prosperity.

Speaking at a programme for the centenary celebrations of the Bihar Chamber of Commerce and Industries (BCCI), Choudhary said investors would get all possible facilities. Choudhary said the state wanted higher private participation in industry. Choudhary also said the BCCI had an important role in meeting the state government’s investment goals.
Bihar industrial growth and Bihar Industrial Investment Promotion Package-2025
Choudhary said the government prepared the Bihar Industrial Investment Promotion Package-2025 to attract private investment. Choudhary said the package was meant to increase industrial development across Bihar. Choudhary said Bihar sought maximum investment and industrial growth. Choudhary said the BCCI could help the state achieve these targets.
Choudhary said expected investment levels had still not reached Bihar. Choudhary said this was despite the state having one of India’s top industrial policies. Choudhary linked future gains to stronger cooperation between the government and industry. Choudhary said progress would depend on steady investment and more industrial projects.
Bihar industrial growth, public-private-partnership and land plans
Choudhary said industries could not be created only through the government treasury. Choudhary said projects needed development through public-private-partnership efforts. Choudhary said, "We initiated the work in 2024 to acquire 14,000 acres of land.\" Choudhary also said a township policy was introduced for new projects.
Choudhary said the township policy planned greenfield satellite townships over 6.5 lakh acres. Choudhary said these townships would involve investments of Rs 6 lakh crore. Choudhary said earlier leaders also shaped Bihar’s industry at different times. Choudhary named Shri Krishna Singh, Karpoori Thakur and Nitish Kumar.
Bihar industrial growth and security measures for businesspersons
Choudhary said crime cases were being handled within 24 hours on priority. Choudhary said no one could take the law into their own hands in Bihar. Choudhary said district magistrates and superintendents of police would meet businesspersons every three months. Choudhary said the meetings would address security concerns and other issues.
Choudhary also inspected a free skill development training centre run by the Bihar Chamber of Commerce and Industries. Choudhary said the centre supported economic self-reliance. Choudhary interacted with women trainees during the visit. Choudhary linked skills and investment to the wider Bihar industrial growth effort.
