Bitcoin Price Today: BTC Recovers to $88K; Altcoins ETH, SOL, DOGE Rise, but Market Still in Deep Losses

Digital assets in the market attempted a mild recovery today after a week of heavy selling. Major tokens, such as Bitcoin, Ethereum, Solana, Dogecoin, XRP and Cardano, are still neck-deep in losses; however, some of them recorded slight 24-hour gains.

"The crypto market is balancing between a deep washout and signs of selective recovery. The recent crypto winter crash cleared excess leverage and thinned liquidity, while shifting Fed rate expectations and new ETF issuances are fuelling episodic flows. On-chain and technical signals hint at a potential rebound if buyers return, although structural downtrend markers remain relevant. Bitcoin price today is $88,270.90, rising 1.69% in the last 24 hours. The world's largest cryptocurrency continues to trade under pressure, with its weekly losses widening to 5.08% and monthly correction now at 22.96%. Bitcoin's market cap has slipped to $1.76 trillion, while its 24-hour trading volume stands at $26.41 billion.

"BTC crossed $89K due to the US equity market rebound, while positive US-China geopolitical developments further boosted market sentiment. BTC ETFs saw a small but positive $9.7M inflow. If this momentum continues, BTC could make another attempt at breaking the $90K level, which has acted as a key barrier in recent sessions. BTC's liquidation heatmap shows strong short-squeeze liquidity above current levels, particularly around $89.5K-$90K, suggesting price may push higher to clear these zones." Ethereum Price Today

Ethereum price today is $2,933.49, gaining 3.76% in the past 24 hours. Despite this short-term rebound, ETH has dropped 6.13% over the week and nearly 29.50% over the past month. Ethereum's market cap is currently at $354.65 billion.

XRP Price Today

XRP emerged as one of the top performers today, trading at $2.25, up 8.63% in the last 24 hours. Its weekly gains remain modest at 1.03%, while the token is still down 15.43% over the month.

Altcoin Performance Today: BNB, SOL, DOGE, ADA & More

BNB price today is $863.70, gaining 2.20% over the past 24 hours. However, the token remains weak on a weekly basis with a 7.42% drop and a monthly fall of 24.12%. The Solana price today is $138.51, rising 5.27% intraday. Despite this rebound, SOL is down 1.63% over the week and has suffered a massive 30.84% drop over the month. Dogecoin price today stands at $0.1516, up 4.12% in the last 24 hours. However, DOGE remains down 6.33% over the week and 26.45% for the month. Retail traders continue to support DOGE during dips, keeping trading volumes above $1 billion.

TRON trades at $0.2728, slipping 1.58% in the last 24 hours. Weekly losses stand at 6.08%, while the token is down 9.19% over the month. Cardano price today is $0.4266, recording a 3.66% intraday gain. ADA, however, is down 10.33% over the week and a steep 37.44% over the month.

Market Outlook: Volatility Expected to Stay High

According to CoinDCX research, "The markets are trying to cope with the latest pullback while the sentiments remain within 'extreme fear.' The top gainers for the day include Bonk, Kaspa & Sui with over 12.3%, 11.45% and 10.19%, respectively. On the other hand, Zcash drops by over 12.50%, followed by Memecore, MYX Finance & Hedera by over 4% each. Amid the pullback, the Bitcoin open interest witnessed one of the sharpest 30-day drops since 2022, signalling a major market reset that often precedes bottom formation."
