Blue Cloud Softech Solutions share price ended higher on Wednesday after the small-cap technology company said it has started work on a US$15.5 million AI infrastructure project for IBM Cloud. The stock closed at Rs 20.30, up 1.65%, as the company moved ahead with the execution of the Rs 147 crore overseas mandate through its wholly owned US subsidiary, Global Impx Inc.
The development is important for Blue Cloud Softech, a small-cap IT stock with exposure to artificial intelligence, AI infrastructure, technology services and overseas business. The project is valued at US$15.5 million, which translates to around Rs 147 crore based on the company's stated exchange rate of Rs 95 per US dollar. The size of the mandate makes it a notable business development for this small-cap technology stock, particularly as the project is linked to AI infrastructure and is being executed for a global technology company.
The first two phases of the assignment; requirement gathering and infrastructure assessment are currently underway in New Jersey. This marks the beginning of a 13-phase project that will be executed through five payment milestones.
IBM Cloud AI Deal: Blue Cloud Softech To Deploy GPU Clusters, High-Performance Storage In US
The IBM Cloud engagement is not limited to a conventional software-services assignment. Blue Cloud Softech's US subsidiary, Global Impx Inc., will develop a scalable and secure infrastructure environment designed to support artificial intelligence and machine-learning workloads.
The project will cover applications such as AI model development, training, fine-tuning and inference. It will also involve GPU compute clusters, high-performance storage, networking infrastructure, AI and machine-learning platforms and Kubernetes-based orchestration.
The company has divided the project into four broad stages; design, build, secure and operate, followed by validation and handover. The design stage will involve studying the AI workloads and existing infrastructure before the final architecture is prepared.
Why Blue Cloud Softech Stock Is In Focus
The latest development gives Blue Cloud Softech multiple stock-market themes at the same time. It is a small-cap stock, an IT stock, a technology stock, an AI stock and an AI infrastructure stock. The IBM Cloud mandate also gives the company a clear US and overseas business exposure.
Blue Cloud Softech's latest mandate puts the company on the infrastructure side of this AI expansion. The work involves the physical and technology environment needed to support AI workloads, rather than only developing an AI application or software product.
