Sunny Deol-starrer Border 2 continues to maintain a strong presence at the box office, even as collections witnessed a slowdown during the weekday run. The war drama, which released on January 23, 2026, has crossed a major earnings milestone in India within its first week, reinforcing its status as one of the biggest Hindi releases of the year so far.
Border 2 Box Office Collection Day 6 Updates: Sunny Deol Starrer Film Joins 200 Crore Club
On Wednesday, January 28, which marked its sixth day in theatres, Border 2 earned an estimated Rs 13 crore nett across all languages in India, according to industry tracker Sacnilk. While this marked the film's lowest single-day collection since release, the overall performance remains robust. With this, the film's total India nett collection has reached approximately Rs 213 crore in just six days.

Border 2 enjoyed a powerful start at the box office, aided by the Republic Day weekend and strong word of mouth. The film opened with around Rs 30 crore on Friday, January 23, followed by Rs 36.5 crore on Saturday. Collections surged on Sunday to Rs 54.5 crore and peaked on Republic Day Monday with nearly Rs 59 crore.
However, after the holiday period ended, weekday numbers showed signs of normalisation. The film collected around Rs 20 crore on Tuesday and then eased further to Rs 13 crore on Wednesday, reflecting a natural post-holiday slowdown rather than a sharp drop in audience interest.
Despite the tapering trend, Border 2 has maintained strong daily figures compared to industry benchmarks. The steepest decline came on Monday, when collections fell by more than 60 percent from Sunday's peak. Even so, its weekday numbers remain higher than several past blockbusters at the same stage.
Border 2 Beats Chennai Express, Dunki, Thama & More
The film's sixth-day collection of Rs 13 crore surpassed the day-six earnings of major Hindi releases such as Chennai Express at Rs 12.56 crore, Dunki at Rs 11.56 crore, Thama at Rs 12.5 crore, and Prem Ratan Dhan Payo at Rs 12.04 crore, highlighting the film's strong box office hold.
Border 2 Box Office Collection Worldwide
According to Koimoi, Border 2 has recorded an India gross collection of Rs 255.81 crore so far. Its overseas performance has been equally impressive, with international markets contributing around Rs 293.06 crore.
Film Background and Cast
Border 2 is positioned as a spiritual successor to the 1997 cult war film Border and draws inspiration from events surrounding the 1971 India-Pakistan conflict. The film is directed by Anurag Singh and jointly produced by J.P. Dutta and Nidhi Dutta, with T-Series also backing the project, continuing the legacy of the original franchise.
The film features a large ensemble cast led by Sunny Deol, with Varun Dhawan, Diljit Dosanjh and Ahan Shetty playing key roles. The supporting cast includes Sonam Bajwa, Medha Rana, Mona Singh and Paramvir Singh Cheema.
