Britannia Shares Jump 4% After Strong Q1 Results; Revenue Crosses Rs. 5,000 Cr; Stock Down Over 6% in 2026

Shares of FMCG major Britannia Industries are currently in focus and are surging after rallying sharply after the firm announced its June-quarter results and a board meeting held post market hours on Aug 6th.

Britannia shares opened this morning at Rs.5502.50 apiece on the NSE higher than the previous close of Rs. 5404. The sharp one day jump today took it back to the Rs. 5600 levels as it quickly surged to the intraday high of Rs.5660 and is currently up 4.10% at Rs. 5625.50 at the time of writing.

Even so, Britannia is lying in negative territory for 2026 so far as the counter has lost 6.46%.

Britannia Q1FY27 Results Highlights

The action coming in the stock today is because of Britannia's Q1 FY27 results, announced at its board meeting on August 6:
The company posted a Revenue at around Rs. 5,000 crore, up roughly 8%YoY. While the net profit (PAT) rose about 14% YoY to approximately Rs. 593 crore.

EBITDA stood at Rs. 840 cr, surging 10.97% YoY compared with Rs. 757 crore in Q1 FY26, registering a 10.97%.

Compared with Rs.853 cr in Q4 FY26, EBITDA declined 1.50% QoQ. EBITDA Margin stood at 16.80%, compared with 16.38% in Q1 FY26 and 18.07% in Q4 FY26, improving by 0.42 percentage points YoY and declining by 1.27 percentage points QoQ.

Profit After Tax jumped 14.08% YoY at Rs. 593 cr, compared with Rs. 520 crore in Q1 FY26. PAT declined 12.70% QoQ, compared with Rs. 680 crore in Q4 FY26.

Earning Per Share stood at Rs. 24.55, compared with 21.62 in Q1 FY26, registering a 13.55% YoY increase. Compared with ₹28.16 in Q4 FY26, EPS declined 12.82% QoQ.
