BSE Sensex Rallies 231 Points In Morning Trade, Rupee Strengthened

The BSE benchmark Sensex surged 160 points to 59,338.39 in morning trade while NSE Nifty gained 60.05 points in early trade to17,458 on April 5, 2023. The top gainers on Nifty emerged Bajaj Finance, Bajaj Finserv Ltd, and ONGC with the gain of 2%. Coal India and HDFC Bank rallied over 1% in early trade today.

Nifty Bank gained 52 points on Wednesday to 40,866 while Nifty Midcap declined by 17 points to 30,149.

Meanwhile, rupee gained strength against US Dollar on Wednesday amid weak economic data from the US built hopes of lesser rate hikes by the Fed. Rupee gained 26 paise to open at 82.07 against US Dollar, according to Bloomberg. Rupee closed at 82.33 on Monday.
